If Earth had a square shape, my 3 brothers and I would have lived in each corner of it to make it round so we can roll around the universe with it, to put it on a high hill and let it fall down covered in tears. It would have turned into pieces from the glaciers at the poles, but the magnetism between us would have brought it back to the life where there is no death. What good are brothers if not for Unity? What good is the word if it doesn't build an eternity? Now, the Earth is flat, and we are 4 stubborn brothers.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
