I'm an embarrassment. But this is only in my eyes, since otherwise I manage to wrap everybody around my little finger. They admire me, they hang on my lips and beg for my attention. I know I'm a narcissist, the therapist told me that as well. He's a jerk, but he nailed it. I also know that this disease is incurable, but I try to make the most of it. Oops, Roxy71. She is good-looking and she showers me with likes and hearts. She seems to be the perfect victim. I'll have her in my bed in a month. Until then I'm going to install my latest purchase: a device that helps me kiss my own ass.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
