I am five years old. For a year I have been living in a white room with a small window with a corner of the sky hanging from it. I have a white bed, which I share with the Unicorn girl, Ela. My mother is always with me. She reads me stories. She comforts me. Sometimes, when she thinks I can't see her, she cries. Dad doesn't come to my room much, even though I'm a good, brave girl. I made friends with the drip. It pumps daily, in my blood, the hope of a Tomorrow. Today, the unicorns visited Ela. They brought her a new heart. When I grow up, I want to be a Unicorn.
