Of course I do. One? Why the heck would you think I have just one? Do you know how often and how fast I punish myself by throwing myself to the floor? And I'm not light. So I get chipped, dented, I get that patina of time, as they say. Legs shattered, head cracked, just for the pride of being this way. You think I'm done? That I'm so defective as to be perfect? Daaaamn, when I get a grudge on someone, I throw a monster fit. I'll hurt both man and dog. What can I say about applied talents? When I don't cut myself, I burn myself. Wonderfully imperfect. Me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
