Where have you been wondering this late at night, huh? Honey, please forgive me, but I've made a huge mistake. What did you do, then? We have a new colleague at work, her name is Cristina. Oh, well, last night she invited me for a coffee at her place. I was not in my right mind and I went. Well, you know how I am when I get horny, I did her proud. We danced all night, if you know what I mean. Why are you lying to me, you fool? Bogdan's wife called me and she told me that you were at their place and played that blasted FIFA game.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2022, the group has 9,580 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
