I have just discovered from Taleb's excellent book, that the black Swan does not in fact exist, but that you must always be ready to encounter it, like a familiar presence in a string of routine events and always be able to minimize the consequences of the unforeseeable unexpected manifestation. No one was able to tell what had happened when He, a young and healthy man with an impeccable body, encountered the Black Swan in his bed one morning. The encounter was so surprising that his heart stopped beating. Forever.

(In March 2023, the group has 10,790 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
