Have you been here for a long time? Yes. So, is it working? Not really. I figured. Well, what can I say, you know how it is. That's about right. Well, so? Well, where am I going to go? Yeah, you can't do anything, can you? That's just it. But I keep trying. Who knows? That's true, too. It might work, it happened before. I've heard that too, after all, why not? I'd be glad if you succeed. Me too, but I don't think so. They're going to do something and again it won't work. Hard to fight them unless you got somebody behind you. But we move on. Cheers, cheers. God help everybody.

Mihai is sterile, he can't have children. It's been a well-kept secret for years, through many promising relationships. Come on, hard, now, like this, harder, give it to me, like this, squeeze me, hard, now, now. You're wonderful, they say after every game. The child will look like you, smart, handsome and tall, it's so good that I found you, my darling, my love. In these circumstances, Mihai is silent but, he does what he knows best. He doesn't engage in discussion, he's content with the feeling of duty accomplished, in Olympian spirit.

I had been a monk for a few days, at the monastery on the hill, when, one evening, after vespers, the abbot came and told us that we were going to go to the convent of nuns in the valley, where a gangbang was organized and participation was mandatory. Confused, I tell the priest that I was unsullied, that I had never done it before, that I do not know how to do it and I did not expect something like that, hoping to soften him and give me a dispensation from that obedience. Then, gently, he told me, it doesn't matter how you do it, the important thing is to participate.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2024, the group has 13,320 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, Monica Aldea, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
