Every morning, I eat my bits of ham cut into strips that I find scattered on the windowsill downstairs. Here lives alone an old lady who, when she sees me, opens the window and begins to caress me with long and hard movements. The old lady has got attached to me, me to her caresses. Today I have found out who throws me the strips of ham on the windowsill, the neighbor above the old woman. A lonely old man who goes out to buy ham every day. I continue to eat, the woman caresses me lovingly, the neighbor wants to see me tomorrow as well.

I was playing with my siblings in a box. Then there came a weird creature that walked on two paws, and it picked me up and placed me close to its chest. I was afraid at first, but then I relaxed because I heard its heart beating fast. We arrived at a place and as soon as it let me go, I hid behind some wall. Towards morning I came out and waited. Then there came my human that we would call Iulia and my life as a house cat began. Fifteen years passed in the human world since then. Both I and Iulia have changed.

She sees her getting up, sleepy and she already knows. The day is off to a bad start. She doesn't feed her immediately; she goes first to the bathroom. Mistake. She watches her, she sits strategically in her way. She almost makes her trip. Later, she sees her eating. Alone. No food sharing. Disappointing. She climbs off the table and looks at her firmly. Nothing. Then a new strategy. She knocks down the glass. Annoyed she gets up abruptly. Attention finally. Humans are hard to train, but the effort pays off. Over time, they learn. Three more months and she will make her buy fresh tuna.
