I arrive home in a hurry and excited. I open the box - it was exactly the book I was waiting for. I read more than 60 pages in one go, but I stop. I shouldn't hurry like that. If I read it all today, what am I going to do tomorrow? I put it aside. I open a chocolate, eat a little and I like it, but I put it aside in order to save some for later. I put it next to an almost finished puzzle, on top of which is also placed a cup of coffee with around two inches left. There are only things that I would like to finish around, but not now.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
