Madam, these ones with a 36-24-36 figure, these are all bullshit. How can I explain it to you? I want someone to let me be myself. Just the way I am. So that I can fly in my own way. To sing when I'm flying. Eventually, to catch me when a wing hooks on a cloud, and because of the flapping, I am falling. Eventually, I said. Because when you fall, eventually, you learn. And you see how the air kisses your tears when you fall. To let me dance in my own way. I've always danced in my own way. I don't want to be chained with love. If you are chained, you cannot fly. This shall be all. Madame.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
