Gray, windows dirty with the city dust and everyday life. The ma\'am on the 4th floor is crying again, she does this almost every day before her child comes from school. The man at 1 has been smoking for 3 years, since I got the telescope. The programmer at 6 is always looking into his monitors, once every few hours he draws the curtain over my view for 5 minutes. The corporatist\'s cat at 2 stuck to the window again, I only see her owner\'s hand once every few minutes when she pats it nervously. All seem to live, but no one is alive. I\'m off to the countryside.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
