At my house the dog talks with the cat. We can barely say a few words. You should hear them gossiping about us: that the food we give them in not very good, that it is repetitive (almost the same everyday), that we leave them home alone for too much time. This has to stop. Immediately. So today we have a family meeting: me, my wife, the cat and the dog. We have to decide when and how much are they allowed to talk. And, most important, they should stop talking when we go out.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
