Chocolate and a first kiss. Popcorn and nachos from Movieplex. KFC without garlic sauce. Beef soup at Buşteni. Your favourite cake made by your mom and potato salad made by my mom for the 2012 New Year's Eve. My first cooked surprise. With an instant sauce from a jar. Your first steak. You are better at this than me. Then at the same time: peas, pie, soup, risotto, pancakes, chicken with mashed potatoes, tiramisu. FoodPanda, Glovo, Uber Eats. Now we only eat salad. But we have souls of fat kids.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
