They called me to play music. Dark Angel Vasile was my stage name. Ripped jeans, spiked bracelet, a Cradle of Filth shirt and boots. I entered, all went hush. I could see their prayers in their eyes. I put on Pink Floyd, it was ok, but when I put on Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, chairs started flying. In 10 minutes, a brawl broke out. They wrote about it in the local newspaper the next day. Everyone's spirits calmed down when a friend with a lot of hair gel put on Vali The Storm from a CD, Chef de Chef, from 2000.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
