Having reached the border, the cunning albino dressed our wives in silk, and they always asked for more. The wise man decided that we should rise an insurmountable wall, and the old men chewed the rice, without teeth, so that we can use it as mortar. The wall grew but, in the last day, the fat duck of Pekin flew on the other side of it. His daughter, Mei Din, jumped to catch the duck and landed in the arms of the albino just before the fall of the last rock, closing the great wall forever. Pekin cannot be comforted: nothing shall remain after him?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
