As I was saying, Your Honour - there's no way to settle out of court with the defendant. She maxed out the credit card to buy frying pans online, got her third shot of vaccine and expects to get the fourth as she is convinced the vaccine is going to cure the cataract she suffers from, boards trains without a ticket, and she has to get off when caught only to find the fine in her mail a couple of days later. Also, she keeps trying to reach Europa Hotel in Eforie Nord - she tells everyone that she too is perfectly capable of unlocking doors. You have to place her under interdiction as soon as possible as she is keen to sell the house. What did you say the trial date was? 19th May 2508?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
