Hey, you gang of ugly greenish creatures, straighten your goddamn antennae and listen to me. I'm right here, in the block of ice. Don't you dare melt the glacier! I don't give a damn about you needing the glacier water to fix the ozone layer in order to return to your planet! I am here! I exist! It's been almost half a millennium since they froze me, but it's not the time yet - they haven't figured it out yet how to bring me back to life. You dickhead, you stepped on the piece of ice squeezing my heart. Oh no! This one must be crazy - he set everything ablaze. I'm hot, it's boiling hot, I' m burning.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
