Living room is just a way of saying, because the small room I live in serves as my bedroom as well as my bureau. I was writing down some thoughts when He appeared over my left shoulder. Lord, it is You, but I am not ready, and I haven't even called You. You're calling me with every breath, with every single one of your heartbeats, if it wasn't for Me, you wouldn't have existed. You are right, my God, please, take care of my children, look, I'll leave all the worldly things to them, You take care of all the spiritual ones. You're so dumb, no one will inherit the Earth. My keys are out of the door.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
