I took off my underwear and started running. Somebody should show the world what's left of it. I didn't run for too long because I tripped over a woman who started screaming hysterically when she saw me. Let's make new people for the world again. Hold on, I have no idea where my tool is. It might have fallen off while I was running, I tell her. No problem, we'll make a new one out off ashes and we'll ask the Creator to blow life into her, she tells me. Good idea, I say back to her. God, please blow over it. Blow it yourself, you idiot. I ripped a rib out of your body, I hear a voice from above.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
