I will put at your feet, my queen, riches never seen before. And she stretched out on the coolness of the marble to put out her fire, but she, dancing - crazy and strong ghost - raised the soles of her lightly insomniac dress, and the image of the white ankle pierced like a dagger in his heart. Never mine, he screamed in his mind, but he killed the thought as killing a snake. And when she pressed her bare sole to his chest, Columbus saw clearly, in the force of the cosmic orgasm, a virginal body, just for him, bursting out of the sea. The new world.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
