Yes, you want me. No, I don't want you, I'm just lying, and I slam into the window of your eyes, thinking I'm asking for it and I can fly through it. Then why are you crying in your worries when you choke into me and make a nest in my arms? I said no, and leave me alone. I can't, that the tear that falls on you tickles me with a soft guide, a kiss. I said no. Yes, no, your plaits are wet with dandelion mist when you say no. Would you like me to leave? Would you like me to be a ghost? I said no. You're laughing, little trick.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
