Here lived those who had explanations for everything. For example, what is in the Marianas Pit, what do the angels look like, what kind of apple has fallen on Newton's head, why Paracetamol is called Paracetamol, how many empty shells are found in the Mediterranean Sea, where Gorgona is now, how to transform gold and how it comes alive, how many stars are in the constellation Andromeda. In Room 100 were those who knew nothing, who grabbed soap bubbles and turned them into fairies. In room 99, the immortals named mortals.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
