Behind that door is the control room. This is where the settings are made. This button is the memory troubleshooter. If you press it, the subject will remember exactly what he was doing on a certain day. Here is the still of dreams. There is the panel of trust, in people, in oneself, in ideals, etc. Here are the quality switches. On the left you have the psycho-emotional disturbance, with everything they call problems. The green button is the start button when it's ready. The red one, I'll let you guess what it's doing. The only thing I don't have is the key to the room.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
