You're still here. Breathing. You have two wonderful little girls, a husband who cares about you, healthy parents, dear old and new friends who support you, and many more that you need to be here for. It doesn't matter what it was, it's in the past, you can't change it anymore. And the future will take place if you keep breathing. Come on, get up. At the door of the drawing-room, a thoughtful figure carried the fatal verdict. Thoughts wander in every corner of the room. My heart, my dear, is cut short, you have to teach it again to grow.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
