Dear diary, I'm nine years old and I don't know any French yet, but I promise that in 10 years' time I'll be in Paris admiring the Eiffel Tower and eating
escargot. This amuses me as I read it because I'm 19 and I'm just finding out now that I've wanted this since I was a little kid. I'd forgotten about the diary, came across it by accident while looking through the photo albums. I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow in an exchange. It seems surreal. I have to remember to try the snails even though I admit they don't sound tempting anymore. But the little kid in me deserves it. I'm sure that kid's the reason I've gotten this far.

(In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
