Brother, what a dream I had: I was an aviator in the war. In a raid, I was cornered by about 4 enemies. Me - dodge left; them, after me. Dodge right; they, too. At one point I parachute. And they fall slowly; among clouds fluffy like cotton candy. I tried to recognize our house, but if I just came here yesterday, how do I know which one it is? Will it be the white one; the green one? Don't make it any longer, Egg White - said Egg Yolk in a hurry; say the ending quickly, because Geta is coming to make the cake and you know that she firstly separates us.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
