Chiliman came out of the cell with the thought of realizing but saying to himself Chill man changed his mind, remembering that tomorrow is also the day after tomorrow, and this not from yesterday, from ages ago. He scratched his bald spot, a little on his belly, thinking how many chilos he might have with the K for the kilometres, and revved up the pickup took in Chile. An aristocratic Chilean cat was buzzing like he'd bitten into a chilly to the chill beats of Chilly Gonzalez, Party in My Mind. He enters back into the bald like a snail in a shell: I Masquez.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
