The scorching sun is melting my ice cream, so come up with the idea to enter the first shop that has an A/C. Maybe this way I manage to save part of it. I see an entrance with a huge archway made of white lilies. This is my spot, I love their smell. Good day, a snuffed voice says from a corner. I am watching the chocolate that was already dripping on my sandals. A drop of sweat is making its way between my breasts. Woah, it tickles. I completely forget about the ice cream and shove the cone in-between my breasts. Fuck, Silvi, you did it this time. A lily wreath, madam?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
