She climbed with difficulty the 3 floors, her hands loaded with heavy bags. When she arrived, she took a respite and shouted, "Hello, have you been good children?" Dana appeared beside her. Yes, Mommy. I warmed up the food as you told me, we both did our homework, we went out a little in front of the block, and then we came upstairs. Did Mihai take his medication? Yes, Mommy, I gave him the big white ones 3 times and Phenobarbital 3 times 3 pills each. After that, he told me he was very tired and went to bed. He's been asleep for a few hours already.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
