When PrinceCharming left for the other end of the horizon, she cried life. She left everything behind and went, as in the story, to turn him back to her. He blunted armors and leads, until the road and the angular thoughts made his heart of stone and his will of steel. She found him bored in an empress's castle. He did not recognize her; her hair was like the forest, her eyes were daggers, and the princess had become a fearless Amazons. He took her sword and cut off the finger on which the magic ring was shining, the one he had tied her to him. The journey had changed her.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
